I've used Ubuntu before, but am very tempted by Mint. Ideally, I want it to be able to run DaVinci Resolve which is supported in Ubuntu. Should therefore work in Mint... maybe.

I'm using Photoshop for creating book covers, so my main interest is typography and what is best on Linux for doing that. With Resolve, it works on Linux, but not certain how well. I may have to buy a new Nvidia GPU as I use AMD at the mo. And all because Windows can't be trusted. 2/2

I've been using #ChromeOS for years, but today marks the next step in the move away from Windows on my desktop. After 3 days trying to fix a bsod, I'm wiping the disk. I will install Win11, but am adding Ubuntu which will be my main OS. Gotta find replacements for #Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve. 1/2

Had a "fun" day wrestling with #windows11 that involved updating the bios and deleting some ancient drivers, then installing the latest version. Thanks MS. No work done today.

I got it for my Spectrum in 1983 and thoroughly enjoyed its retelling of the story.
