I mirror this view, with one caveat: it will -not- necessarily find an audience and it won't necessarily be a success, but if you made it because you want them to exist, at least you have the reward of having pulled these never-made things screaming out of the sea of ideas into reality.

Same reason we have to do taxes in the first place. Most other countries, their version of the IRS calculates how much tax is owed off their W2 and just sends a check or a bill. You think it's wrong, you can appeal.

We WERE going to have that, but H&R Block and TurboTax lobby dollars stopped it.

I can't take lower-budget ttrpg layout jobs for a while, until I get back on my feet. Emails and DMs will be slow (I'll reply though!), and I might have to turn down previous arrangements to accommodate life, the economy, and other scary words/names for magazines.

One of the things I hate about so many people buying into the industry lie that "AI will keep getting better and better" is that it ignores the fact that some technologies hit functional limits and AI honestly already is there.
