I’m genuinely unsure of that view, Windy. If we don’t win UEL then we’ll have to sell significant players and will still need to continue the rebuild. There isn’t a positional group on team that is genuinely settled or has strength in depth.

Firing Ange before the final and expecting a good outcome is honestly an absurd take. Whatever one’s views on this season and Ange might be, that kind of disruption and the media attention surrounding it would not help at all.

He’s got his strengths, but the corporate structure below him seems like a very political “appease the king” setup where decisions won’t ever be made in a rational way with everyone vying to impart their own vision.
