Honestly starts right here in Asheville. Most of our leaders in Buncombe County don't have much in the way of understanding what it means to be working class, and live out of touch with the struggles of our neighbors. But somehow very much in touch with tourism.

This thing is literally true in so many contexts. How many companies have one person doing one thing, and no one else doing it, but everyone depends on it? Redundancy and safety are so important to long term stability. Same goes with our cities. You cast wide, overlapping nets to meet everyone.
