Finally loaded up Metal Gear Solid Delta on PC since I didn’t want to pay the early release tax. Since I knew it was capped at 60 FPS I figured I’d try my hand at running it in 4K native resolution with no DLSS on my RTX 4090 and LMAO - it rarely, if ever hit 60 FPS. What a trainwreck.

I had the original Screamer PC game back in the day. It was definitely a bland "we have Ridge Racer at home", and lacked the refined gameplay mechanics, polished performance, and expert design of the arcade racers of the time (RR, Daytona USA, Sega Rally). Someone with some kind of experience in game development will probably chime in with a "there's nothing wrong with Unity" take but when this kind of thing keeps happening, the results are the results.
