I agree whole heartedly with Steve Wood. Could not have said it better.

That must have been the chart he held up with "all new numbers".

Repubs are gonna try and get a representative for every 10 voters. But scream and stamp feet if Dems try it. It's all utter nonsense and would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous to democracy.

My condo association requires a quorum to make decisions affecting the building. If you don't appear you don't get your apartment foreclosed.

I think it's to follow those who make the most noise and say the most inflammatory words. Farage comes to mind.

Referendums, for the most part, are an abdication of the responsibilities of government. People who got elected to do the hard work and have access to the real data. Instead they base a decision on what is fundamentally a national polling question.

Reform the UK membership or begin a staged review of exit, understanding the reality of each step. Brexit itself was entirely a political decision encouraged by greedy, power centered individuals. (end)

This is fundamentally true. The public were asked to vote in an advisory referendum on whether there was a national desire to continue in the EU or leave. With a whisker above 50%, the leave vote should, at best, have informed the government to enter into a discussion strategy with EU. (cont)

He won't run again, for several reasons. What he is doing now is pissing on past presidents by paving the rose garden. The ballroom is a legacy thing. He wants his mark left for all to see.

It's not a charge, it's a bond, a deposit that is charged if you overstay the visa. It also only affects visa applicants from designated countries. Do I agree? Absolutely not. It's fundamentally racist.

If he builds his golden ballroom, how soon can it be torn down?

Indeed, let’s remember many of these heinous acts can be overturned. None of this despicable demolition of our government and values is unchangeable. But it requires ending his lawless regime & returning power to responsible leaders.

UK tried twice to join the EU but got vetoed by DeGaulle. He knew that UK was not interested in the EU ideals. UK became a member, he was proved right. UK has never embraced the ideals, just trade benefits. Until the UK rids itself of UK colonialism it will always be one foot in and one foot out.

With that level of camera technology, why do you need an umpire to rule if the ball is in or out of play?

While trying to persuade politicians, Leave voters will be doing the same. It's a stalemate, and it's going to stay that way for a very very long time. I, like you, would rather Brexit never happened. It was a monumental betrayal. But it's done and it will be decades before we get back.

And in 40 years or so a right wing Australian government will proclaim that the deal should never have been signed and they have to go. They need better protection than just permanent residence.
