@governor.ca.gov Suggestion. Order your Police to create CHECHPOINTS at the entry of ICE Detention Facilities. Then only allow ICE to pass through if they display a lawfull arrest warrant for detainees. If they don't then arrest them as Kidnappers and free the victim.

It's ICE, not LASD. Real uniformed Los Angeles County Sheriffโ€™s Department Deputies always display their name and badge number. Hat tip to @caitykaboom.bsky.social: โ€œHard stop. Never in my life have I seen an LACS wear a black long sleeve tshirt with jeans. F*ck ๐ŸงŠโ€

I know this is obvious. And I know we all know this.
But if the President can raise taxes because an advert annoyed him, without even consulting Congress, then the US constitution is simply not functioning as intended.

Canada was caught, red handed, putting up a fraudulent advertisement on Ronald Reaganโ€™s Speech on Tariffs. The Reagan Foundation said that they, โ€œcreated an ad campaign using selective audio and video of President Ronald Reagan. The ad misrepresents the Presidential Radio Address,โ€ and โ€œdid not seek nor receive permission to use and edit the remarks. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is reviewing its legal options in this matter.โ€ The sole purpose of this FRAUD was Canadaโ€™s hope that the United States Supreme Court will come to their โ€œrescueโ€ on Tariffs that they have used for years to hurt the United States. Now the United States is able to defend itself against high and overbearing Canadian Tariffs (and those from the rest of the World as well!). Ronald Reagan LOVED Tariffs for purposes of National Security and the Economy, but Canada said he didnโ€™t! Their Advertisement was to be taken down, IMMEDIATELY, but they let it run last night during the World Series, knowing that it was a FRAUD. Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

At one factory pigeons infested a storage room and defecated on boxes of sterilized equipment. At another, pathogens contaminated purified water used to make drugs. At a third, stagnant urine pooled on a bathroom floor not far from where injectable meds were made.

Louisiana has refused to reconsider the convictions of 1,000+ mostly Black men sentenced by split juries, despite the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in 2020 that such convictions are unconstitutional and based on an inherently racist law.

How Trump is Building a Violent, Shadowy Federal Police Force Trump's DHS appointees have dismantled civil rights guardrails, protected agents' anonymity and encouraged them to wear masks, threatened groups that stood in their way, and overwhelmed legal challenges to their arrests and tactics.

โ€œICE, their secret police, is their tool,โ€ said Michelle Branรฉ, a human rights attorney who directed DHSโ€™ ombudsman office under Biden. โ€œOnce they have that power, which they have now, thereโ€™s nothing stopping them from using it against citizens.โ€

Article excerpt with a section of the second paragraph highlighted: State social studies standards for years have included discussion of how white Tulsans murdered as many as 300 Black people. But once the 2021 state law that restricted teaching about race and gender passed, some teachers avoided the topic.

The law prohibits teachers from singling out specific racial groups as responsible for past racism. It specifies that individuals of a certain race shouldnโ€™t be portrayed as inherently racist, โ€œwhether consciously or unconsciously.โ€ In addition to teachersโ€™ licensure being on the line, repeated failure to comply would allow the state to revoke district accreditation, which could result in a state takeover.

When educators questioned how to teach about a race massacre without running afoul of the law, state legislators and the Tulsa County chapter of the conservative parent group Moms for Liberty weighed in to say that white people today shouldnโ€™t feel shame and that the massacreโ€™s perpetrators shouldnโ€™t be cast as racists. A Moms for Liberty chapter representative did not respond to questions from ProPublica.

Changes to Oklahomaโ€™s curriculum rules make it so teachers arenโ€™t supposed to tell students that the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 โ€” a defining incident of racial violence in Oklahoma history โ€” was perpetrated by racists.
