I should addend that the writing was also really great, but the story itself isn't particularly new or more interesting than the first game. Visually the art direction doesn't feel as inspired as the first game either. Combat is more challenging but not in a satisfying way.

I finally finished Outer Worlds 2 and I can say with absolute certainty that it's one of the best examples of how solid voice acting can make games worth playing. It's the best thing about this game, it's absolutely why you should pay $80 to play it.
