Trump hasn’t stood in front of cameras and ranted about a trans shooter in the home state of Tim Walz and then his plans changed and he stayed in DC (which he hates) for a 3-day weekend, but I see no one in the national media asking why.

Ghislaine Maxwell provided no incriminating information during meetings with deputy AG on high-profile individuals who interacted with Jeffrey Epstein, transcript shows Ghislaine Maxwell said she never witnessed any inappropriate activity by Donald Trump or Bill Clinton, according to a transcript of her meeting last month with the DOJ.

Whatever the truth is, I don't believe this is it. Keep in mind that Ms. Maxwell was charged with perjury and has been alleged to be a profligate liar.

My sense is that the 22 agencies that were combined into the new Department of Homeland Security in 2002 generally functioned better before the combination. Isn't it worth seriously considering whether it's time to do away with DHS and disperse its various functions back to DOJ, Treasury, etc?
