I don't blame anyone who can afford to move elsewhere but millions in the US don't have that luxury. Indigenous groups wouldn't leave their homes either. Also, voters, knock it off with the "if no candidate fulfills my personal preferences I won't vote at all" attitude - that's partly gotten us in the fascist situation we're in now. What are you talking about? Most judges at most state & federal levels are appointed, not elected; and in municipal elections candidates often run unopposed. Do you have a specific example from somewhere?

See, e.g., 2016's Sanders supporters, many of whom tried voting without registering, tried voting in states they didn't reside in, tried voting outside the correct voting period, etc. Who then got indignant when they were turned away.

More on the last part: Don't align with a party = disqualify yourself from voting in some states' primaries. Everyone, check your state's laws before you try to do something you think is edgy.
