Donald Trump announces plan to change elections
Trump made the remarks while accepting the "Patriot of the Year" award at a Long Island event on Thursday.
"It's very simple. We want to get rid of mail-in voting,"
"(Getting rid of mail-in voting) would disproportionately affect disabled voters, whose voter participation was boosted in 2020 thanks to mail-in voting."

Makes me sick to my stomach to see Selma Blair being honored and featured at a disability awards ceremony less than a year after being an unapologetic xenophobe and spouting anti-Arab garbage.
She’s done nothing to help liberate disabled people. I don’t know why folks keep platforming her.

I am Disabled.
Not "Differently Abled"
So call me what I am.
Disabled.
Stop using these other "terms" they aren't as wholesome as you think.
Disabled ISN'T a bad word and we're NOT something to be ashamed of!

Could’ve had
$25,000 to buy a house
$6,000 child credit
$50,000 business credit
But you went for the $1200 check that’s never happening. And now prices are going to go up $3000/year from tariffs alone, with no stimulus checks in sight.
Sigh.

Yes!! In hazards research (public health, natural disasters, etc), I have heard more than my fair share of researchers on diversity committees suggest or illude to "disabled people are just going to die" or "they are just a casualty" - if we worked together and included disabled individuals in (1/2)

(2/2) has a goal of ignoring/eliminating communication between federal entities and the communities they serve. I am worried that this proposal process is at risk. Without it, there won't be a seat at the table for the disability advocacy community.

CMS is responsible for determining what the coverage standards are for Medicaid/care. One way for the disability advocacy community to propose changes to the standards is via the CMS proposal process. If you haven't noticed, Trump (1/2)

And now, we have to work hard to keep what we have. This is personal. This is democracy at risk. (4/4)
