If people voted for the least bad choice in every election, incrementally, we'd get to a good place. It ain't gonna happen in one single election all at once. However, as Trump has shown, if people sit out the election & let a truly bad candidate win, things can get much *worse* almost overnight.

I get that new housing must rent or sell at market rates, with the promise that, over time, as the supply of available units increases, market rates will naturally decrease. But that doesn't address the immediate problem of unaffordability. Needs to be a mechanism to help people stay housed while...

When I see actual affordable housing on the ground, I'll be more convinced. So far, I see developers getting a pass to plow over existing neighborhoods to build high density mixed use projects with a relatively tiny number of affordable units.

I get the "Abundance" agenda's frustration with slow regulatory process, but let's be honest, the NIMBY label has become just another tool for developers to bypass issues like historic preservation, neighborhood integrity, environmental impacts, habitability vs density, &, yes, affordability.

I think that has more to do with hatred of health insurance than his being wealthy.
