I look forward to building solidarity so we can protect and empower our community together. I’m grateful to the people we met and built connections with during this election, and I'm thrilled to work alongside you all soon. MPD must be held financially and morally accountable, especially via the state and federal consent decrees. We will hire more civilian investigators, build urgently needed street-lighting in Ward 3, and fight encroaching city surveillance practices."

Transit should be a public service; therefore, it should be free for all. Our environment faces historic dangers, and we must declare a climate emergency to adequately mitigate and adapt. We must hold our city accountable to net zero emissions by 2050, in accordance with the Climate Equity, 2040, and Northside Green Zone Work Plan. We believe that it is vital to promote best public health practices in the interest of everyone's safety, especially those that are disproportionately faced with exposure to the virus, harsh workplace conditions, and lack of healthcare access.

Undocumented agricultural workers are being exposed to a deadly virus without the proper protections by their employers. These large agricultural companies will often threaten their undocumented employees due to their legal status if they report this workplace malpractice or call in sick.

Thank you to the community members who hold us accountable. As a team of BIPOC students, recent grads, and immunocompromised family members and friends, we shouldn't fall into the anti-masking trap. These reminders keep us going despite passive aggressiveness and blatant ignoring from other folks.
