Hi Danielle, I call it the mongrel spirit, and I reckon we def need more of it on the Left. Mongrel, humour and art. Because we need to win arguments through the heart as well as the head.

Especially liked this: 'Because when Māori say no – to privatisation, to deregulation, to exploitation – that “no” isn’t a threat to peace. It’s a threat to profit.
And that’s why it’s being undermined.'
Cartoon. Title: Growth & Development. In the right of the frame a baby MP Shane Jones is smashing up with a hammer the words CONSERVATION and REGIONAL COUNCILS. A toy Kiwi, Dolphin, snail, frog, and some people are flying out. Mum and Dad MP Casey Costello and Winston Peters are looking on, cuddled up, and Casey is saying, “Awww”

I guess one way to achieve that legally would be for people en masse to take a day's unpaid leave - ie each tell the employer, rather than ask, that you will be on unpaid leave- like many of us did for the climate strikes.
