17.02.2026 10:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is lovely but my brain insists on reminding myself that the new cat who owns some good friends of mine has hunted in excess of 50 pine cones and delivered them to my friendsβ bed.

30.01.2026 15:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The funnier thing is that this is their second attempt. The first one crossed the Spear of Longinus with a sword.
They took the sword out to try to tone it down to get approval.
It is still exceptionally full of Thule Society vibes.
I finished mine a few days ago but I do have one box of mince pies left.
25.01.2026 18:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Plasticine penguiny nobhead Pingu toot-tooting at a passing polar bear in the manner of a young Horatio Nelson.
Head canon:
Pingu is clearly seen interacting with a polar bear. Pingu therefore can only be a northern hemisphere penguin - aka the great auk, aka the OG penguin.
Pingu is amongst the last survivors of a species thought to be extinct.
Seems that they have the IP and a desire to do it, but no funding, script, or cast and are trying to hype it up in the press to attract some funding. I'm not going to get my hopes up.
If it does happen, it is going to take several years before it arrives on screens.
This puts me a step closer to writing a scenario I've been planning for Silver Bayonet: Turkey Man Ruins Thanksgiving.

That said, I did break down and buy my first model of 2026 the other day. I was putting in a preview for Warriors of Athena and my hand slipped and now I have Turkey Man by @badsquiddogames.bsky.social waiting to be dispatched.

There's been too much politics on my timeline lately so⦠fun stuff. GW had one of their preview shows and everything in it was lovely and I now want to start two new armies. I am, however, going to resist as I have a backlog to work through some of first.
20.01.2026 09:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Don't really have a dog in the ban-social-media-for-under-16s fight, but seems utterly irrational to demand it now. A country which is comparable to Britain has just done so. Surely, if you were remotely committed to evidence, you would take a year to see how it goes before proposing we copy them.
20.01.2026 07:34 β π 589 π 54 π¬ 58 π 9In any other context, requiring a high-productivity sector to offshore the production of its highest value-added exports would be seen as the economic illiteracy it so obviously is...

17.01.2026 08:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think there's a tendency in modern media to put its politics in the text (sometimes to the point where its a lecture given by a character) and the people who complain about the politics existing are the ones too media illiterate to notice the massively unsubtle metaphors that THP was making

My current work-in-progress is shiny because it got hit with varnish to allow the wash of marine juice I applied afterwards to flow properly.
Lt. Titus is the first Ultramarine I have painted this century.
This isnβt new.
During the 1960s you didnβt have hardcore anti-war hippie folks dating hawkish DoD staffers either.
This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
