progress has been made and i will be finishing J5 in the next few days

tbh there are a few anime shows out there that are just ok but the rest are just cut and pastes urrgh it’s such a shame

got done watching ep8 of punch man season 3 and i can truly say it’s absolute garbage, below poor animation and the characters look like they’ve been drawn by someone that just finished reading their first how to draw manga book
and saitama is barely in it, i feel the anime industry has gone to shit

currently taking a short break from J5 so im painting an jorogumo yokai snd i started with the umbrella she’s holding but unfortunately the matte varnish i had gave it a frosted effect so im gonna have to strip it all down and start again

my sisters Alsatians legs just gave out which was expected due to her very old age (13 years) and tbh even tho i didn’t know her as long as my family did im still devastated

already looking for upgrade parts for J5 with this bluetooth audio board so i might be able to turn him it into a proper music player

ohh i wished i could have gotten real circuit boards but i ain’t paying that kinda money lol

the track is nearly finished as i gotta paint the circuit board and dirty it up

it’s just decorative lol this is about an inch long so there’s not much room and i tried to replicate the board in the movie but it feels like i should have increased the scale of the cylinders on that board but thankfully wires will cover it up lol

the right track is nearly complete with just one more part and yes it does move be it not particularly well, i gotta do a lil bit more sanding and heat bending before it moves a bit more freely

yup so it means im gonna spend a couple of hours sanding out the shape so it it’s a circle or call it quits and just go with it so it completely static

well i have run into an issue With j5 as i want the tracks to turn but the model has parts that won’t turn because the idiot creator put a shape key into the drive sprocket now allowing movement so im gonna have to whip out the rotary tool 😡🤬

to be honest the book describes the eyes as being blue within blue and not glowing as the movie depicts them so i think the original story is very much in line with colour changes not luminescence

most of the parts for the right track are finished except two parts which unfortunately will have to be printed with a combination of whats left of my tough resin and some regular resin

80 segments and a whole bunch of brass rods and the two tracks are finished so fingers crossed i have enough resin to finish this build

wiring for the left arm is done i think

J5 is nearing completion i just gotta print and paint the tracks and a bunch of cosmetic bits as well as install the lil laser/torch in his toolbox

thankfully the segments can be manipulated a bit so it’ll be easy but time consuming lol

the instructions for my model says to use printer filament which is dumb as it degrades and becomes brittle over time so metal rods were the only choice

if this was a commission the price would be at this point £800 as ive invested a lot of time and effort but for components and resin it’s a bit below £100 at a guess
but once this is all finished i will be doing a parts list with links and prices

lol thank you, thankfully i got a rotary too and cutting discs so it shouldn’t take to long as long as the segments cooperate as some are slightly warped
