the next model that i will be printing and i hope to smeg that the new settings work as i’ve slowed ehe printing process down quite a bit so fingers crossed

considering how badly this print came out and the near failure of the base i think i’ve managed to make something of this, unfortunately it’s no up to my usual standards as i kinda lost the drive to paint this half way through but i perceived

the only problem was that the flat part that connects to a secondary base was warped but that’s ok as i can’t be bothered to print the secondary so all good lol

my test prints came out perfectly lol i was pretty much using my old photon mono 4 k settings but i won’t truly know until i print something bigger

after this im doing some more diagnostic prints to see if i can narrow down what the problem is, i might switch slicers just in case, in all i think its to do with my lift/retract speeds and suction but i will have to narrow it down with some more testing i have devised

lolololol it survived lol even though everything screwed up it still printed it properly 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

it hung on to the finish so all i need to do is wash it and see if lady death can stand on it lol

fingers crossed that if it holds on till the end it might still be usable but im not optimistic lol

unfortunately her head is a mess of layer line errors but i smoothed it out as much as i could and tbh it’s noso bad looking now it’s painted

im using resin so moisture isn’t really a factor but then again it may be related to temperature

well im kinda stumped i keep getting these layer shifts and i believe its due to suction on the fep but im unsure as all my parts have drainage holes so it should be or its down to exposure uuurgh this is the part of 3d printing i hate especially when there’s no clear answer

lady death model on its way, this is mostly a test to see if my new settings are better and to see if i can get rid of layer lines/ layer shift lines and hopefully in about 3 hours i will find out if it was a success

thank you mate i might put some red leds on top of the base so illuminate it better but for now i dont even want to look at it just in case that back sword thing snaps again lol

the cyber nun is finished urgggh ive had to re glue that rib cage onto the post/sword looking thing as the post snapped multiple times so thank feck it’s done lol

im using an iphone 13 and it forces auto post processing which screws everything and pretty much obliterates details and shadows and makes it look flat af

it’s so bloody difficult to take a picture of the cyber nun but here’s my best efforts, unfortunately this camera just can’t pick up the detailed shading ive done on her face

thank you, it’s still needs a little touch up as i noticed a few errors in the photo but still im dammed chuffed with it

wow this is the first time ive finished printing a wholemodel before i started painting parts that have finished lolol now all i gotta do is figure out how in heck im gonna paint it all lol

not entirely sure how to solve there layer line issues but first thing im going to try is reducing the lift speed and increasing the lift height so fingers crossed it will solve the problem

🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡well ive been having an issue with the m7 saying foreign object detection for the last 4 hours, i cleaned out the vat and built plate but it kept bringing up the warning so as a last ditch effort i thought i would try cleaning the screen an lo and behold there was a tiny speck 😡

unfortunately not, you can ignore the debris detection but not the foreign object detection but thinking about it further id rather have it than not as ive had plenty of disasters that was caused but a tiny bit of support material falling of in the vat

i have found another minus for the photon M7 its supposed to detect when there’s a foreign object in the vat and it seems to work but i seem to get a lot of false readings as i just went to print something and it detected something so i do a clean out and there’s nothing gggrrr
