X86 emulation on apple silicon is pretty darn fast yeah. I'm always amazed how well it works.

11.08.2025 03:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Curious, what about windows arm? Is that a valid option in a VM in a mac? I guess you would loose apple's optimized x86 emulation for the x86 windows apps running in VM though.

10.08.2025 03:42 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just published the source code I could find for my old FFX model viewer:
github.com/yaz0r/FFXView
Also, uploaded the 2 releases:

Amusingly, this all was released 20 years ago almost to the day!

09.08.2025 18:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I should probably properly frame it someday. It's been mostly in storage since that time for various reasons. It only moved state-side when I was kindly asked to clear out my stuff from the parents attic a couple years ago :D
08.08.2025 18:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Around KH release time in Europe (lived in France at the time), there was some squaresoft online contest with a few easy questions about KH. I remember entering it for fun and took like 5min. Ended up with first price, and that was it!

I kept virtually everything from my my childhood computer collection, and a load of ex-DMA development stuff, and donated it all to our local museum - @McManusDundee.
Here's a breakdown of the crap... errr... valuable historical equipment I donated.

Wasnβt mame using bgfx shaders for post processing out of the box? It seems it should possible to convert the existing glsl shader to that.
I actually need to do that for a different project so might take a look later.
