Haven't been posting much here. Mostly heads down working on pet projects and reading about interesting tech.
Been digging into stuff like mesh shaders recently and how to leverage them on modern GPUs. I find it pretty interesting stuff and itching to write some code using them.

Enjoyed it quite a lot back in the days. It was a technically flawed game, but a great story and characters.

Something to look back at in a few month. Mostly for curiosity on how re-releases affects that kind of thing.

I guess I'm more wondering about the fact that there would be a legitimate way to buy/play those games now, and how that affect prices of the original release.
Curious if such effects have been observed before.

Wonder how Switch Online release would affect the value of those. Different market so I'd assume not that much, collectors would still want the original release physical cartridge. But still curious if there had been previous example of this and how value changed because of re-release in some form.

I wonder if it is because the protection was implemented with the game scripting language and not backed into the exe. Cracking it meant hacking into the game scripts.

Because I wrote it, and it's straight decompiled from the game binaries
