I made a pumpkin whipped cream for a cake and used it in the berry mirror glaze recipe from King Arthur.

I'm not vegan. I'm glad that there are new cream alternatives though.

I have been using the country crock nondairy cream and it has been working for all of the recipes I've tried it in so far.

Gosh no. I don't eat meat, but I won't try to stop people from eating it.

I'm pretty good at snark, but I'd rather talk about food.

I think if you could convince him to write propreantepenultimate it would be good for my soul.

That picture makes me think of the cover of my copy of The Master and Margarita.

I love the idea of a giant cat looming even if it comes with great peril.

My happiest coworker ever got up at some ungodly hour of the morning and had a small scoop of vanilla ice cream in her coffee instead of creamer.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, but only because I like to feed people.

It still feels glossed over this year even though I'm expecting to start making things that can live in a freezer this week.

As always, why not both?

A 6-inch round multilayer cake with gray shiny fondant gears and fresh strawberry gears.

The cake says S M C, because it was too small to write Strawberry Machine Cake.

Is it perfect? Nope, but I learned some more today (and I'm the only one in the group who cares about perfection).

I made a strawberry birthday cake with a strawberry jam filling and Swiss meringue buttercream.

I have more strawberries and some fondant decorations to go on before serving, because I am trying my hand at the King Arthur berry mirror glaze later today.

If you have cash just take the cash amount for the coffee.

I've gotten pretty good at getting just the coffee.

I'd make this for my kid and his friends, but it is not my soda of choice and a moxie cream pie sounds very wrong.

Yup.

This weekend I'd like to ruin a birthday cake and maybe a nap!

In Lexington KY the ones I see range from $2.60 - $3.00. The ones near work around the middle.

I drive, but I'm grateful to be using an electric car.

Is there something that makes Tidal v Quoboz better than each other (other than possible spelling issues).

I was a casual Spotify user, so I didn't really have playlists. I would just occasionally use it on the treadmill.

It happens to with programming problems. Sometimes I wish I could charge for the time the rest of me is problem solving away from the desk.

No guarantees. But I give you a hoagie possibly after the show (or find hoagie earrings).

Does everyone have a sandwich at the ready?

Link is a YouTube video of Bonnie Tyler's song, Holding Out For a Hero, which my choir is singing for our next concert.

My workplace is on a fairly industrial road with all these trucking companies on it. I still enjoy a 20-30 minute walk over lunch.

I want an alternative to the afterthought heel that allows me to switch colors and maintain the stripe thickness throughout the sock.

I have a skein of emotional support yarn in my bag. Often it is the next skein I want to knit, but not always.

I love the coffee scene in Lexington KY because it feels harder to go to a Starbucks than one of the local chains or shops.

So, I feel like this is unfair. Kentucky voted in 1992 to give themselves a break and only have elections 3 out of 4 years. We have elections every even year, but I had to double check that we had something or nothing to vote for. Odd years are weird here.
