Well this is interesting! Anything that can create new avenues for indie films to get wider distro outside of traditional channels is a win with me.

Do lettering in Adobe InDesign, it’s what most manga letterers do and you have way better control of the text and importing script docs. @sara.pizza has lots of great resources!

Been doing all my comics, including Henshin! (200+ pages) in CSP for years. Text is bad, everything else great. Importing 3D objects and perspective grids saved my life.

Gundam Mk-II poster by Syd Mead. This was commissioned by Sunrise during the Zeta era, and it was also when Mead and Tomino became acquainted in person. Zeta Gundam was Mead's first exposure to Gundam.

Thank you everybody that replied! Wasn't expecting so many responses. I'm looking for "blocky" in an original Gundam kinda way. I'm not expecting the design to have all the panel lines etc. or be textured. Just a simple version, but this is the kinda geometry.

I was able to follow along and put the pieces together without reading Ultimate Invasion or the Ultimates, but eventually these are probably all gonna be required reading and we're just back to mainline universe impossible-to-keep-up-with-ness. But for now, Ultimate Spider-man is a damn good time.

I think the way Hickman et al have reinterpreted all the classic Spidey elements is inspired, and the new Ultimate Universe is a great opportunity to do some fun things with all these characters. I fear all the stuff with the Maker and more and more books might make it a bit bloated/impenetrable.
