I wouldn't be so sure about the guaranteed success part. GTA 6 has to overcome the economic hurdle of diminishing returns - only so high you can push the fidelity and only so many people you can throw at a project for so long that no amount of earnings make back both the fiscal and opportunity cost

Just to fill in the gaps in your knowledge: The Expanse is the broader title given to the sci-fi novel series written by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck under the penname James S.A. Corey. It's pretty fun if you like politicking space opera stuff. Also has a SyFy series. No idea how the game holds up.

The longest one I've ever had was when I was no-lifing FF7 Rebirth, I set a timer to tell me to get up and tend to basic needs like food/water/exercise every 90m-2h and It only kicked in at like hour 23 of doing that where I went "wait when did I wake up. ...Oh. Ohhh no."

Probably a tossup between Bioshock Infinite and Mass Effect 3? I'm sure there's ones I've finished that are worse than those but those are the ones that stick in my mind as uniquely, aggravatingly Bad.

I think one of the funnier things about Trails of Cold Steel is that there is a minor character who's whole deal is a spoiler in the first two games (and presumed knowledge in the other two) and you can tell because his art in 3/4 has the 'fuckability' dial turned WAYYYYY up

Beat Ghost of Yotei. 9/10. One of the most aggravating 9/10s I think I've dealt with in a minute. Which the game retains a lot of what made Ghost of Tsushima great, the sacrifices made for telling a less linear story with a more open world create problems both mechanically and in storytelling.

Balance and writing is far tighter in Y versus 30, crossovers feel more tightly written.

No text log of previous missions is still a huge negative and the game is insanely long if you're trying to do everything.

Basically every unit is usable but no route splits means little reason to do so.

The Steam Profile page for "Ship of Heroes", clearly inspired by MMO City of Heroes. The review sit at "Mostly Negative", with 32% of the 28 reviews being positive.

The 'Add to Cart' button on the Steam Page for Ship of Heroes. It is $59.99 and includes the base game, 'all DLCs for two years post-launch', and one month of subscription. Nowhere on the store page do plans for future DLC seem outlined.

One half of a post detailing a user's experience with Ship of Heroes. The user praises the movement physics, the customizable UI and powersets, and the ability to tailor your experience to some degree, but then lists a number of negatives, which includes worse integration of identical systems to City of Heroes, not being able to plan builds due to lack of information on future unlocks, character stats having little to no documentation, and AI generated voices.

A continuation of the review from the third image, which goes on to list that there "isn't a system that I've interacted with that didn't have at least some kind of minor bug". A crossed out paragraph details that the 'augment' system implemented in the game previous softlocked the tutorial, that where you will appear when you exit an instance is random, that various powers if queued at the wrong time will continually try to fire until you find another enemy to use it, causing camera lock and error message flooding, and multiple instances of vanishing inventory. The review ends by saying "I cannot in good faith recommend this game in the current state. At any price. It is unplayable."

Man I wonder what it is about City of Heroes in particular that every attempt to recreate it has attracted next level Griftomancers.
