I think the Bot part is not correct based on the response engagement, but everything else is spot on.

So I blocked the account

Not surprising

People like him are usually deeply unhappy
They don't have any real friends ... and their "loved ones" don't like them either

They've missed the point of life

Even in GA, they just said "NO," this is not a thing which will happen.

He writes a lot of "orders" which is just an old man shouting at clouds and they have no real impact.

Emmer is from Delano, MN
This is where they filmed Grumpy Old Men

I'm a history guy, so this is not everyone's cup of tea

- The Island at the Center of the World, Russell Shorto

- City of Ambition: FDR, LaGuardia, and the Making of Modern New York, Mason B Williams
- - Until I read this, I had forgotten LaGuardia was originally from .... Arizona.

They did this once

The snowballs had to be a color from their national flag

Sweden ruined it with their yellow snowballs

Totally different issue:

He’s in Florida
He’s wearing a leather/vinyl sport coat with a tie

How warm is that coat in the Florida sun?

Holiday songs and the Beatles catalog are the most covered with Yesterday being the most covered

Do any of you have a collection of covers of a specific song?

I have a playlist with multiple version of Amazing Grace

The Stranglers - Golden Brown
YouTube video by stranglersofficial The Stranglers - Golden Brown

The question is not IF covers are integral to music, but what song is a great cover OR a very popular cover

Golden Brown by the Stranglers is a great one covered by a wide range of artists

Daddy broke a rule again and let Boone spend some morning quiet time on the couch

I had become distracted from posting photos of
- My photography
- My pup Boone

I see it as a good thing when my social media time takes a backseat to real life

So here I am also breaking a rule and letting Boone have some morning quiet time with me on the couch - or he’s letting me …

Not really a surprise?

“A video of Fuentes, Clavicular, and right-wing influencers Sneako, Tristan Tate, Andrew Tate, Myron Gaines, and Justin Waller singing along to Kanye West's antisemitic[25] 2025 song "Heil Hitler" at the Miami Beach nightclub Vendôme also circulated online in January 2026.”

The good news? He can’t procreate

“He has spoken about taking anabolic steroids over several years to become more muscular, which, according to him, made him infertile by 2025”

Yep, same place we ate the night before

We were treated as long lost family welcomed home

I got to help with some appetizers for our group, she served them. She & I shared plates & were teased about acting like old marrieds

We had only met the night before - 23 yrs later I still cook for her

We stayed until we were the only ones there and the staff started joining us, opening a few bottles and doing some off the menu items until 2 AM and I got to cook for her with them

The next day, the committee staff mentioned they had a special treat - they had gotten a chef’s table in a new place

Our first date was unintentional

We were attending a meeting for a committee for which we were both members, all staying in the same hotel. Meeting was the next day

I called around to see if anyone wanted to get dinner, she and I were the only ones there, so we walked over to a nice Italian place.

Yep

I get this with some of my dad jokes in the office

One of my MAs is 62
She’ll give a side eye and let me know they did not get my joke because they don’t know the reference

These events are getting more frequent as I become the age of their parents or even grandparents

I’d already blocked him for other reasons, many similar to this

Has a lot of opinions about things

Many of them are way out of bounds

From the article:

“I use crystal meth. It’s a methamphetamine for — as a stimulant, and to leanmaxx,” he said in a podcast interview with Jack Neel in November 2025. “I’m pretty much using meth for hollow cheeks.”

Seems like a good idea

The only other two who lost a popular vote but won the electoral collage:
1888 Harrison -0.8%
1876 Hayes -3.0%

The largest margin, > 26% which could be called a "mandate," was Harding, whose presidency was plagued by corruption. His Interior Sec, Fall, became the 1st cabinet member to go to prison

That majority (1.5%) was also the narrowest majority, with two exceptions, since Nixon in 1968 whose margin of victory was 0.7%.

Those two exceptions?
The two winners of the electoral college who LOST the popular vote since Nixon:
2016 Trump -2.0%
2000 GWB -0.5%

Lines from annual review
"Delusions of adequacy"
"Not so much of a has-been, but more of a definite won't be"
"He brings a lot of joy whenever he leaves the room"
"Some drink from the fountain of knowledge; he only gargled"
"He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them"

From high school, there were a few of NFL & MLB players & an Olympic gold medal swimmer plus the guy who invented RoundUp, but no one famous as it was a very boring Midwest town

The main notable from our home town was Abraham Lincoln, but we did not go to high school together & he's not on BlueSky
