And her laughing at a comment on her posts with a straight up slur? My shelf is getting a LOT of space freed up.

It is hard to let go of things we love or enjoy, but my feeling is how can I enjoy it when the person who created it is actively hurting another community?

I had some weird vibes about some of her responses to people before, but I had just put it down as her having strong boundaries. Looking back after seeing her reactions and responses right now makes me upset that I didn’t see it for what it was.

This is incredibly disappointing. This is exactly why I keep an open mind and a lot of flexibility on what stays on my shelves. Even people you wouldn’t expect bigotry from can be terrible sometimes. Never fangirl so hard for an author that you can’t accept new evidence/change your opinion. #booksky
