Spent the morning making paper pots for seeds. The kind I can get started during autumn and winter - rarely drops below freezing here in winter, so easier to do than for many other gardeners. 🌱

Love the daffodil stems pushing up through the leaves. And such a beautiful Hellebore; how I wish they were available in South Africa.

Common visitors include honey bees and hoverflies to the zinnias, white banded carpenter bees to the purple sage, and 5-6 garden inspectors (Precis archesia) each day to both the zinnias and sage. And this morning I saw my first African hummingbird hawk-moth, also drawn to the purple sage. 🌱

🌱 The zinnias are starting to die, but not enough for me to start pulling them out. Between them and the purple sage there is still a veritable party of insects visiting every day.
