12.04.2025 19:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The old punk told me
that lately
when people see his mask
they ask if heβs wearing it
to fight fascism
or to fight the virus,
and when I asked
how he responds,
the old punk explained
that whether youβre fighting
fascism or a virus
what you have to do
is take care of other people.
Love the idea of rotting logs! Great habitats!
12.04.2025 19:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0You may have already done this and I just read the plan incorrectly, but if you can, try to keep pollinator plants back a bit from the road. Poor bees and butterflies can get smooshed! π
12.04.2025 19:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whatβs a good source for wildflower meadow maintenance? My city mows all our meadows in the winterβwhen wildlife need it most. I want to put together info on why thatβs not the best plan. But the sources Iβve found are conflictingβ¦ #nativeplants #pollinators
11.04.2025 14:36 β π 6 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm imagining how you could do this IRLβ¦ crafting FTW! Good job with MSpaint. Photoshop is pretty awful these days. No need to switch!
11.04.2025 14:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Moths also play a big role but we donβt usually see them as theyβre out at night!
11.04.2025 14:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wouldnβt try to separate out the tiny seedlings if theyβre too close together. Youβll damage their roots. Depending on the plant, they should be OK as clumps. If they need more space, itβs good to choose the seedling that has the most leaves to keep and clip off the stem of the other one.
11.04.2025 14:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1That is a great idea!! Native plants are always best for wildlife!
11.04.2025 14:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A pic I took of a pretty yellow daisy being pollinated by a Thick-legged Flower beetle. The daisy has a flat flower, which means the beetle can reach its food because it only has short mouth parts.
Did u know? It's important to plant a variety of flower shapes because pollinators can't reach all pollen & nectar from all flowers.Beetle pollinators, like this female Thick-legged flower beetle has short mouth parts,so can only reach food from flat flowers with shallow nectaries. πΏπ±πͺ²ππ
22.02.2024 06:51 β π 22 π 9 π¬ 1 π 0You got this! Iβd recommend keeping your darling kitty indoors. Sadly, kitties kill lots of wildlife and we donβt often see it. Theyβre sneaky little bums! π
11.04.2025 14:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Omg I LOVE this!! Is it photoshopped or real??
11.04.2025 14:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Awesome! Thatβs way sooner than I thought π

10.04.2025 00:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How big should I wait for my #nativeplants seedlings to get before I plant them around my neighborhood?
04.04.2025 03:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think Monsanto makes it so the seeds the corn produces are sterile =(
04.04.2025 03:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have you tried fermenting the seeds first? Tomato seeds donβt sprout without a little fermentation because otherwise theyβd grow right out of the tomato on the vine! Itβs a little tricky but you can get it with some trial and error.
04.04.2025 03:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Try #bloomscrolling!!
04.04.2025 03:03 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What do they do to native plants?

24.03.2025 23:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah! Itβs probably easier to do raised beds if youβre OK with the initial cost. Make sure theyβre made of untreated cedar!
24.03.2025 23:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love these posts! What kind of camera do you have? Can you just watch them on your phone all the time?
22.03.2025 23:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Where do you get your plants? How do you keep them watered for the first season?
22.03.2025 23:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Looks beautiful! If you can, wait to prune until a couple weeks after the last frost. That way all the insects living in the plant stems and debris will be ready to leave!
22.03.2025 23:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just forgot the letter "o" when writing "word count" in an email. How's your day going?

20.03.2025 17:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you happen to know the Latin name? I want to make sure Iβm googling the right one to research them!

20.03.2025 16:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm having neighbors and families over and asked for suggestions. While a fun activity for consenting adults, it is not appropriate for a large group of people that includes children. I think we can agree on that.
