Will they list their suppliers for the products they'll be selling, or continue the "farmwash" under their Ballerina Brand? People are paying a premium for milk powder, flour, and meat because they want to feel like they are supporting a local farm. Do they know it's mostly just branding?

A counter top with chocolate sandwich cookies shaped and stamped like the head of a sunflower. Some are filled with yellow cream and some are yet to be assembled. There are also a few peanutbutter with chocolate centers in the upper right corner.
HOT TIP: when boycotting, try dupe recipes at home to share with friends. Sometimes there's no local alternative but there's always a recipe blog on the internet. Now i can have doublestuffed mint chocolate sandwich cookies without funding the capitalist machine crushing my American friends βΊοΈ

If youβre a middle aged female with an interest in solar power, nuclear campaigners want you.
In the week 15th to the 21st of March, Nuclear for Australia and its offshoot astroturfing group, Mums For Nuclear, spent a combined $89,233 on Meta ads, according to online political database WhoTargets.Me.
Mums for Nuclear targets mothers with claims that nuclear power will reduce power bills and is essential to a βclean energy future for our childrenβ. The ads (sample below) claim βWeβre not activists or lobbyists, but we know nuclear is our futureβ. Nuclear for Australia, which is backed by mogul Dick Smith, is the contact email address on the account.
While men and women saw the ad, around 18% of the budget was spent targeting women only. The group is also running print ads and issued a media release.
Belinda Noble, founder of climate communications group, Comms Declare said, βTargeting mums with false promises of cheap power bills and climate solutions is as manipulative as it is cynical. The CSIRO has confirmed that only renewables can provide the cuts in climate pollution that we need this decade.β
People classified as being interested in renewables, sustainable energy or efficient energy were among the top contested audiences between climate and nuclear campaigners, Independent candidates and the Liberal Party.

'mums for nuclear', backed by famous Mum For Nuclear Dick Smith, is massively ramping up its targeted spending on Meta: just flat-out lying to people by claiming nukes will bring down power bills.

Great idea! I'm sure once I get one component working, it wouldn't be hard to add more as it should be a very similar set-up. I will share as I go π I think it's really important to have this kind of thing free and accessible so as many people as possible can benefit

I'd like to give it the ability to chart how much water I'm using for each section, and I might integrate moisture meters. I'd also like to eventually have the weather monitoring charting as well. I really love spreadsheets but I need to save time for community projects

Home Assistant
Open source home automation that puts local control and privacy first. Powered by a worldwide community of tinkerers and DIY enthusiasts. Perfect to run on a Raspberry Pi or a local server.
Who has an automated garden system? I'm setting up irrogation this year to free up more time for planting, foraging, and dreaming. I need to be able to run it off a mini solar setup, and I'd like to eventually integrate it with a weather monitoring system. Has anyone used home-assistant.io? π±
