Literally zip-tied *children*
The cruelty is the point.
Thanks Julie. Helpful (to my mental health, especially) to hear that others feel the same. π
Iβve been reading up on immigrants rights. I also want to know so I can video/narrate any interactions because π§ is not necessarily following the law.

And some people claim this is what they want?! More than once Iβve seen comments in my community, βthis is what I voted for!β The cruelty is gross.
Itβs unbelievable, unbearable, and inhumane.
The amount of anger I feel about my neighbors in the Chicagoland area being harassed, terrorized, and abducted by π§. π‘
I am ready to video and literally on guard for every dark SUV or out-of-state plates I see in my neighborhood or where Iβm working in schools. This is terrible.
Congrats! π

25.09.2025 01:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tbh, the app could be easier to navigate but itβs ok. That why I usually have to look at the online program too.
25.09.2025 00:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For speakers, I think you can log into βspeaker ready roomβ and find out your room and room capacity. Not sure there ante really any other guidelines.
For program, I usually look at it online and then also download the app where I can click on things Iβm interested in and make my schedule.
Image says βIβm speakingβ with picture of speaker and details of the conference. Follow the link in post for details.

I think pic 2 looks cute (the one from the front). Sometimes you just have to say βthe back isnβt my businessβ π
I think the front tuck works easier when the shirt is a little shorter and there isnβt a slit, so it might just be this shirt thatβs making it tough.
Peak of the day: β¨ my kids said I did indeed βhit that noteβ in Golden from KPDH. β¨ππ»

Love a video like this for a #howmany prompt in math.
Learning about multiplication? Show this! Starts with 1 then folds over to make 2, then 4, then 8β¦
Or a BTC-style prompt, βhow many total noodles can he make from this?β

Plus I like that Iβve been able to share food Iβve grown with neighbors. Another thing that makes me feel connected in a difficult world.
I pulled out my cucumbers from the garden and planted some fall crops (lettuce and beets), they started sprouting! π±

I see it in many aspects of life.
Common sense ceases to be common.
Basic human courtesy is foreign.
We donβt have to live this way. We donβt have to accept gaslighting.

30.08.2025 18:33 β π 60 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0My Ss this semester (preservice secondary math) graphed their math experience.
We learned:
Itβs important to connect with our own experience as we think about teaching others, T we have makes an impact on how we feel about a class, we like listening to K-pop Demon Hunters soundtrack when we work π
My youngest starts kindergarten tomorrow! πππ
2020 Covid Babies are starting kinder!
And the poster seems to imply you would only use math to get a job which also feels like an outdated message. π
12.08.2025 14:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Old math classroom poster showing different careers and when you will use math in them
I see this poster get asked about a lot in a teacher FB group.
I donβt want to yuck someoneβs yum but this poster is so old, it just has to be outdated. Right? I donβt think Iβve ever seen a kid even give it a second look? π€·π»ββοΈ
Maybe itβs feels nostalgic to the teacher? Which is ok.
Oh, yeah, I know you have a bunch of good stuff on your site!
I just was asking if you thought about the platform for blogging and if certain ones arenβt getting used as much.
I started using Substack for my posts and can link to it other places.
open.substack.com/pub/anniefor...
Good idea!
Iβm also lucky enough to be able to attend conferences and get to see people there. It always makes me wonder how in the world newer teachers would ever get that type of community?!
Do you think youβll keep your posts on a blog or move to a new platform? I decided to head over to Substack and feel like itβs given my writing a new life.
Itβs also easier for me to read others work. Itβs like the new βblog rollβ
I miss it too π
