It’s true

The best. True golden days. We met. Laughs were shared. Ming boggling facts swapped. I met my birdy husband on the bird app…..gen Z and beyond will never get all that science happiness for themselves and they should have.

I've been thinking about this again this week. We all deserve a lot of grace right now. For ourselves and for each other.

This isn't funny or cute. It's not a matter of sense of humor or not. I & so many others are constantly trying to raise awareness of impact of outdoor cats. Outdoor cats kill ~2.4 billion (yes w a B!) each *year* in US *alone*! This card makes light of a death (bird victim) & sig conservation issue.

I’m always happy to connect you with @abcbirds.bsky.social experts and resources. Our collisions team is hard to beat, we’ve got the leading cats indoors Director, and our pesticides/native plant guy is hilarious. Plus, advocacy is something not to take for granted either for at home.

I’m biased since Roxie has always been a hero of mine. But I’ve got to say this book makes you a bigger Roxie fan no matter what you know of her. And whether you’re a #bird lover or not too. She was such an incredible person that overcame so much and accomplished so much.
