Potentially. The protests have been peaceful so far. It’s more the potential reaction to the protest that concerns me.

There is more need for protest than ever. As long as Israel is continuing its genocide, whilst its leader conflates the State of Israel with Judaism, attacks like this are inevitable. This attack was the result of Israel and Netanyahu’s actions, not solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Blame can be placed at the feet of Netanyahu, for the incessant conflation of Israel and Judaism whilst carrying out genocide. Violence against Jews is a sad, but inevitable outcome of his rhetoric, and he revels in it. Without the division, he would be out of a job (and possibly in the dock).

If they’d singled out Netanyahu or Ben-Gvir, I could see the issue, but calling for the destruction of what is effectively a death squad should be applauded by all.
