Have pre-ordered, but my concerns stretch to both the upscaling and the fact that as i've mentioned before, S21 is probably my least favourite of the entire show - hoping to be proven wrong

must be the only #DoctorWho fan who thinks McTighe would be a great showrunner.

I'll concede Praxeus is flawed - but Lucky Day criticises right-wing conspiracy theorists, whilst Kerblam! is criticising automation, AI and corporations abusing it's workforce.

Oh and his Bluray work is amazing!

Genuinely baffled at people who think The Interstellar Song Contest is the worst episode of #DoctorWho.

Like, it's not great, but I can count a ton more far worse episodes from 2005 onwards alone.

Shakespeare Code, Kill the Moon, Revolution of the Daleks, 73 Yards...

I have a few..
- Demons of the Punjab through to It Takes You Away is an under-rated run of NuWho episodes that deserves more credit
- RTD finales, with the odd exception, aren't great
- Colin's first season as the Doctor is tremendous.
- Bi-generation is not as good as the Timeless Child

I might well get mine in exactly 30 day's time - HMV always seem to post it the weekend before; makes a decent change from having to wait for Amazon to try and post it to me days AFTER it's release..

I got the intention of S1 and S2 of Picard - but they were absolute slogs to get through! I do like how S3 retconned them into helping re-establish the character of Picard; S3 was absolutely brilliant, so many wonderful moments.

it's pretty good all things considered - I still rank Discovery higher, because of it's open willingness to discuss mental health and showcase the importance of second chances. It's different Trek, but still Trek.

Honestly, I'd adore a crossover between this and Who, that quote in S3 finale was <3

Legend of Ruby Sunday was genuinely brilliant, but let down by really bad exposition. Empire of Death... less so. Wishworld/Reality had it's moments, but was really incoherent.

I was not expecting Em-Con to have Derek Thompson - aka Charlie from Casualty!! Casualty was something I always loved growing up, and whilst I did find myself falling out of love for it as I got older, my love for Charlie remained constant!

How lovely to finally meet him ❤️

The next two Em-Con guests were David Bradley and Jemma Redgrave! Had a laugh with Jemma over our early wake-up calls (she was 04-50, I was 06-00) and David gave me some lovely advice that has always served him well ❤️❤️❤️

The second guest I had hoped to meet on Em-Con had been Tom Rosenthal - but he switched to Sunday only, a few days before the convention.

Spoke to staff, got a free replacement.
Went with Tyger Drew Honey, from Outnumbered!

went to Nottingham on the Saturday just gone, for East Midlands Comic Con <3

met a variety of guests - first up being Kris Marshall from My Family!

#DoctorWho over the last 10 years have provided some wonderfully fresh/unique stories - Heaven Sent, Extremis, ITYA, Tesla, Eve, WBY, Dot and Bubble, Lux, Story, need I go on?

I don't think RTD needs to go, but he really needs to let go of the past

I cannot get over that extended cameo. Buzzing over it, actually! Beaming. Totally unexpected, my favourite bit of the episode by some distance. Lifted the whole thing for me. #DoctorWho

I absolutely love that everyone said Russell T Davies was going to erase the Thirteenth Doctor era from existence and instead he spent the next three years canonising every damn second of it over and over again. #DoctorWho #Spoilers

I told someone else that I kept thinking of Demons of the Punjab during Story and the Engine - both have a lot of depth in terms of cultural heritage!

Honestly, there's just so many rich layered Doctor Who stories across the years!

It’s always telling whenever the 13/15 Doctor have a moment talking about something political in the show everyone immediately criticizes them as preachy. Other Doctors would flat out start yelling even sometimes spitting at the camera when they got political! But that wasn’t preachy! 🤣 #DoctorWho

I do have to say, the quality and consistency with this season of #DoctorWho is much better from last season - I feel bad saying that considering last season had Boom, Dot and Bubble, and Rogue... but that's 3 10/10 stories so far this season, including Story and the Engine!

pretty astonishing how, considering it's high stakes action, the #MissionImpossible film series still has some extremely rich themes beneath the script - commitment, found family, loyalty to your job, the value of human life, morality..

excitement level for the Final Reckoning is getting higher..

what's been your favourite so far?
Lux has proven my absolute fav - but Lucky Day is close behind (really dont get all the McTighe criticism, feels like Kerblam all over again)
