There was an episode of I Dream of Jeannie where Jeannie is introduced to Dr Bellows and Dr Bellows thinks that she’s saying her name is “Jeannie Jeannie” and he says like and I forget the example he gave, but I’m pretty sure it’s not in the list and maybe someone with a better memory than me knows.

Although the last name is the plural of the first name (Italian, unlike the other romance languages I know anything about, doesn’t use -s as the plural marker, but instead uses -i except for feminine nouns ending in -a where the -a turns to -e).

(Although it’s unclear whether the 35 million is just for the canonization or over the course of the whole jubilee year).

Eh, I’d hit the canonizations if only because how often do you get to do that?

Having varying levels of comfort with half a dozen Indo-European languages makes spotting parallels and differences fascinating. Knowing a little of multiple languishes ≠ being a linguist.
