In the past few weeks I’ve experienced the same as Gavin.

Agent mode, Claude Sonnet 4 and MCP servers have been game changers.

GH Copilot wrote a whole new feature for Dev Proxy Toolkit straight from our Dev Proxy docs exposed as MCP server, it worked perfectly.

This is how you win, by putting the right tool at the finger tips of users right where they are working.

If I have to switch windows, then there's a very real danger that my ADD brain will get side-tracked.

How do I do task X?

Old way: switch from editor to browser, compose a query, don't forget to include a bunch of context like language and execution environment, search, parse results and find a code snippet to try.

New way: Ctrl+i, ask the question, take the resulting code and adjust to suit.

The productivity gains from GitHub Copilot are off the charts.

Now, it's not to be blindly trusted, but if you aren't using it as a time saver and flow-state question answerer then you're missing out.

I got back into working out regularly last year after letting my fitness decline during and after the pandemic.
I agree, it feels awesome to be fit again and able to do a whole lot more physical stuff.
