Would love a response as to why ISP have bully clubs and are pushing and hitting protestors at Broadview? Aside from that, I'd love to see him out standing and also conversing with protestors and constituents in Broadview and neighborhoods such as South Shore. Action is more than simple litigation.

Also, I do disagree with you here. I don't think JB has any requirement to provide any sort of formal protection to federal agents that are here on the ground. His only job should be in directly protecting his constituents, both legal and illegal.

I hear you on this, but then you also know as well as I do that ISP has done more harm to protestors than JB's promise to "protect" them. I'm not insinuating that ISP should instead aim their weapons at ICE, but their presence at Broadview hasn't wholly helped the situation in any way.

Well, candidly they are probably making up for that in business from the ICE agents and soon to be TXNG since most are turning them away.

I think if we're talking about the average Chicago citizen who's been on the ground taking a stand then absolutely we can be proud. Am I glad to hear JB's consistent words? Sure. But am I beaming with pride about how our situation has devolved in record time because of words over action? Not at all.

It's clear a lot of LOUD voices on my reply do not live here in the city, or otherwise haven't been out on the ground at either Broadview or near the ICE activity.

I'd hardly consider pointing out that those of us on the ground going to places such as Broadview to protest can't be proud of JB for words alone are an "attack on liberals." In fact, I'd say folks in the streets at Broadview and protecting our neighbors ARE fighting fascism, but what do I know?

This is zero percent trolling. I'm aware the whole world is watching, just like we are watching Gaza and yet we see how watching and words has helped that situation.

Well, a good start would be to instruct ISP to pursue and arrest agents who are clearly violating the rights of Chicagoans, including shooting and arresting American citizens. Instead governor Pritzker has activated them to Broadview, where they have used bully clubs on protestors. No crickets :)

The last time we did this, what changed? Here in Chicago, conditions have only gotten worse. I too have been involved in protests as recently as a few weeks ago, but this escalation is unprecedented and it's becoming clear that the federal government will use force on its people, even deadly.

Chicagoans are eating Mayor Johnson up on air right now. A reminder that none of our elected leaders really know EXACTLY how to stop the takeover of Chicago. Or at the very least, they're afraid to voice the one thing that actually would cause something to change.
