That being said, the MNBA didn't turn a regular profit until 30+ years after it's existence either. The point here isn't "profits," it is that they earn less than 10% of what revenue is earned. There's obvious growth, or more investors wouldn't continue to put money forth ie. new teams etc.

As with any growth company, it's expected that they'll be in the red while it continues to grow. The very reason the company exists are the players and they deserve an equitable split because without them, there would be no W to watch. Tech companies and other companies exist without profits as well
