As an American in the UK who travels Europe, there's this dance when you meet other Americans abroad. You're both quietly trying to figure out if you're talking to normal people or MAGA tourists. The relief when you realize it's normal folks who can have real conversations is real.

I used to think people were just rude and obnoxious online, the safety of being behind a keyboard and all that. But it seems many folks now are happy to be obnoxious in the real world. I feel leaders set the example...and during the past 8 years, a bad example has truly been set.

So many disappointing things about the 2024 election but the loss of mainstream media, both TV and Print, holding the line and holding folks accountable is the biggest disappointment for me...
