a Lime scooter parked right in the middle of the sidewalk as if other pedestrians, strollers, wheelchairs, and mail carts do not exist

I would say "you'd have to try with all your might to park this scooter like *more* of an asshole," except that it WAS parked somehow even more across the sidewalk than this and I started to lug it off to the side and a loud scooter theft alarm began blaring and did not stop

Ever since reading this @albertburneko.bsky.social paragraph a while back, I find myself thinking about it, encountering unwelcome exemplars of it, far more often than I wish.

Really sucks that the people who seize the most wealth, power, and privilege are also the people least equipped to see themselves as fortunate or to consider any amount enough, and will thus continue to embody a sense of grievance against the people "holding them back" until they die
