ORDERING THROUGH THIRD PARTY WEBSITES LIKE PLAN C PILLS Studies conducted in 2020, 2021, and 2022 demonstrated that abortion pills ordered online through reputable, licensed providers had a near-perfect percentage of being genuine medication. In instances where providers did not meet these standards, the studies indicated that inaccuracies often related to incorrect dosages rather than counterfeit medications. Third party websites like Plan C Pills employ "secret shoppers" for the providers listed on their website in order to ensure the quality of medication provided. Be aware when ordering from online providers that the order may take over one week to arrive.
MORE ABOUT ORDERING FROM ONLINE PROVIDER WEBSITES LIKE AID ACCESS & ABUZZ HEALTH Currently, the USPS is a federal entity. This makes it difficult for states to actually enforce local bans on abortion pills by mail since USPS is technically outside their jurisdiction. A signed warrant is currently required in order for local law enforcement to open someone's First Class mail.
Pills ordered online are quality assessed through studies and secret shoppers, and shown to consistently be genuine medication. When ordering abortion pills shipped by USPS, a signed warrant is needed to inspect a package.

They are a centralized hub where someone could potentially find information about reliable providers. • This bill does NOT criminalize abortion funds or people who donate to abortion funds because Tennessee abortion funds do NOT distribute abortion pills. We help people afford their appointments at a clinic.
This bill does not target people who use abortion pills in TN, though prosecutors may still try to use this law or others to punish people who do. It also doesn’t target abortion funds or any other abortion advocacy groups that don’t directly provide abortion pills to people in TN.
