Maher is absolute garbage, and it's really depressing that he has any fans.

IIRC, they ended up forgiving most folks, executing only the top dozen or so regicide guys, but doing so in spectacularly horrific ways.

As a fellow Italian American, I support this 100%.

It actually does. Delegates serve, with voting power, on committees and subcommittees. They help influence legislation. They are part of the congressional investigative and fact-finding progress. This is to say nothing of the soft-power that they possess vis-a-vis their constituencies and Congress.

I’m reminded of someone interviewing Stephen Colbert about his daily show days and he said that the camera had a habit of lobotomizing people.

I’m reminded of when Ron Paul ran in 08 for pres and some really racist stuff came out under his name from some publication in the 90s. His response was a nonchalant: “that wasn’t me”.
