Spent the first leg of my Delhi-Melbourne flight with my throat feeling like someone was scraping it with nails, and my nasal cavity as if someone had spread tar over it. Just like all of last month.

When I land in MLB, I’ll take a moment, look at a blue sky, and *breathe* in the unpoisoned air.

The cover of Susan Marks’ A False Tree of Liberty.

Recently been re-reading Susan Marks’ A False Tree of Liberty. As a critical genealogy of human rights, it’s an unparalleled piece of work - should be read, taught, and debated a lot more!

When allegiance to a multi-media franchise brand eclipses critical engagement, even the most idealistic communities risk being co-opted by forces that run counter to the values they once championed.
