Looking at bugs under the scope at work, and I see this fella who died in the middle of becoming an adult.
It's macabre, but I wanted to take a picture to remind myself that change is a universal struggle. And there's beauty in bettering yourself, even the darkest moments.

I would like adult high fantasy from the perspective of non-humans. DnD races like dwarves and elves are fine. But the further you get from human, the better. Like lizardfolk, mice, eldritch horros.

I love fantasies about non-humans. Unfortunately, it's hard to find adult fantasy nowadays that isn't human-dominated.

I'm not comfortable expanding on every scene with heaps of description. I streamline imagery to only necessary details.
Many readers enjoy not being bogged down in prose. But others say this style lacks flavor.

Fear of embarrassment is wonderful motivation. But, sadly, fear of bankruptcy steered me away from getting professional editors and into the arms of AI grammar checking tools. Sometimes, it sucks being an independent author.
