I agree with the sentiment it improves - but it doesn't mean the first isn't brilliant. The technique just gets polished over time. You'll probably find you develo a favourite 'series' as discworld books tend to belong to a subset of stories. I like the Witches of Lancre books - you'll find yours!

Sampled here in a translucent teal and sort of cork colour with silver trims. It has a beautifully smooth, and very *very* wet nib for a fine. I used Diamine Majestic purple as I have a sample with a little filler nozzle on it that I've not been able to use elsewhere!

Haven't made a pen related purchase in a while but Jan sales got me. This is a new one for me - an Opus 88, a Japanese eyedropper with no built in filling mechanism. The faff of filling it with an eye dropper is balanced by it's absolutely enormous ink capacity.
