I just turned 40, and it happens to be the 40th anniversary of the #BreastCancerAwareness movement. Since my mom passed away from an aggressive form of #BreastCancer this year, 40 is the age when you're supposed to start annual mammograms & it's October - this seems a fitting honor for my mom.

In the past 3 years, I've lost my grandmother, my 2 dogs, & a couple of weeks ago, I lost my mother. Now, I just lost my house. And that's the cliff notes version of what's been going on. It's been rough, but I'm choosing to look at it as the Universe clearing the way for a better chapter to start.
