The current US regime has no such figure. It’s all Trump and only Trump. It seems to me his enablers are betting an awful lot on the immortality of an obviously fading 80 year old fat man.

Before the outbreak of war, Hitler and Mussolini were the unquestioned leaders of their regimes. However, if those leaders died, there were others would could have continued those governments without major interruption.

Comparing Trump to Putin is not vaguely insulting to Putin. Sure, he’s a monster but he’s not a childish moron with an increasingly tenuous grasp on reality.

But until the political directive to meet arbitrary arrest quotas is rescinded, the bullshit will continue. Even if they gave protesters free ponies, the random stops, raids on courthouses and such will continue. Sack the lot.

While it sure would be nice, I don’t see it having any real effect. The people who back Trump have plainly signaled that nothing; not truth, not the Constitution, not Jesus, nothing will stand in the way of hdd as being power.

It pretty obvious that they have no intention of letting their so-called principles (past or present) stand in the way of power.

Rather than put your actors in crappy costumes and cover them with filth, I propose we just have a gal in a swimsuit carry about a sign saying “it’s the olden days”. It sure wouldn’t annoy me as much as these costumes do.

Putin is in no position to grant concessions. He has backed himself into a corner so far the only choices are some sort of tacit victory or death…his. Trump is a fool but Putin is given more credit for manipulating people and events than he is actually due.

A factor to consider is that the regime’s mouthpieces have only one audience: Trump. If what they say displeases Trump or offends his childish ego, they’ll be out of a job. They don’t care about ‘us’ because Trump’s fragility renders our opinions unimportant, at least in the short term.

Goebbels knew that the best way to sell propaganda was by including as much of the truth in a story as possible. These morons aren’t smart enough to do this. But then they’re not trying sell propaganda. Their dole concern is demonstrating their slavish loyalty to Trump.

Norm is doing exactly what she was hired to do. If anything Miller and the other regime ethnarchs want even more arrests, division, and chaos. Get rid of her and they’ll find someone who’ll fill the bill even better.
