The new year may not actually mean anything, but it's a cleansing time - a chance to feel like we're having a fresh start, washing away all the dirt of the previous year, feel refreshed from all the things we are scrubbing away-

And to be clear, certain systems get this treatment more than others. VTM didn’t get this too often while D&D got this a lot, especially as I always homebrewed worlds.

I think it’s very important for any player I may ever have to know that I have always been the kind of DM to go “I default to the systems settings and rules unless my way is better for me or my players” even if by better I just mean funny.

I’ve been world building for my Pathfinder Campaign and it’s so fun getting a character concept from a player and “Yes, and”-ing stuff to make the concept work in your world and you create and entire lore to support it.
