It's that time of year again!
When we put on our fanciest head gear and go and parade!
Feather-horned beetle larvae predate on cicadas. The males' antennae are used for detecting the mating pheromones of females.

It's been a couple of years since I have come across these native bees!
Cuckoo bees are brood parasites. They sneak into the nests of other bees, lay their eggs, and leave the unsuspecting host to raise their young.
