-kinda a 2024/2025 win, but I took my first writing critique class

-joined Bluesky to meet other writers!!

-started a WIP in a genre that is new to me

I’d say theses are green flags too lol ✅✅

This is cheating a bit since I have two Mcs. But coming off a recent divorce, E would like moody indie songs like the band lord huron. but would absolutely bond over Toto with J.

i love this song!!

I’d say it’s an even 50/50 between parent &adult children and sibling dynamics.

yes and no. some are and some are not.

I don’t remember my working title for this one, but my joke title is “Family Trauma and Ghosts”

it’s super hard for me. i usually just write what the main thing that it’s about as the working title. so if i wrote a show like abbot elementary,i would probably write “elementary school teachers” 😭 “high school musical” was a working title that stuck, so it could maybe work out that way

these are good! id read the working titles too!!

my MC is basically an unpaid film critic

reframing my ghost mystery as a comedy would feel more like 1995’s Casper since it’s focused on a human and a ghost.

My WIP is not a lightheaded ghost story tho.

The hill I die is on is that getting dev editing feedback or beta reading feedback from a machine like autocrit or even prowritingaid is useless.

You need feedback for human beta readers because humans are the ones going to buy your books.

currently reading a horror novel and my MC would just film the events

My two MCs would absolutely bond over Dean Winchester’s silliness but laugh for different reasons.

Both would laugh bc of the crude-like humor, but only one MC would appreciate the cowboys jokes being a such a cowboy enthusiast himself.

We have a couple of events we want you to get on your calendar.

Our next pitch event will be October 30, 2026!

We will also be doing a week long Summerween Kick Off Event of Questions, coloring pages, and things like that to get everyone in the mood for the season, July 5 -11!
