My first movie - kind of - was a short I wrote and directed called Puppy Love, that was just a dude reminiscing fondly about... well... fucking his dog (She came on to him!). For whatever reason, my old man loved it. 1/2

I alway thought it was an odd reference considering the fact there were no soul groups AT Woodstock, but maybe they were just capitalizing … until I realized it came out 2 years earlier.

At the risk of being the “actually”guy… Soul Man was written 2 years before the music fest. The song refers to a southern vocational school, and was meant to signify his humble origins.
