Had a nice relaxing evening building an ITX system for a friend. First build in a fractal Era2, really well designed case. Fit a 5080 and a 240mm AIO with ease.

I see now, I could buy the premium edition for early access. Hmm.

Got my 25-year Service Award crystal unboxed and on display. Our team moved to a new neighborhood in the building, giving me more room for them. For much of the day random rainbows can be seen scattered around the neighborhood.

For example, my utility company gives $300 off a few different brands. I got a nice chargepoint hardwired Level 2 charger. It worked well with the Leaf I had leased a few years back.

There are some shady solar installers are there, but when done right it's a cost positive investment. Especially as utility prices increase and solar costs decrease.

Pre-pandemic my peer and I would do a combo "beer & brownies" where I would bring in a 6 pack of beer (+ root beer since I don't drink) for each year at MSFT and he would bring an ever-increasing amount of brownies.

There just aren't enough people in the office to consume that much beer anymore.

One year we had someone bring 20K super balls for their 20th... it was chaos & ended badly w/a stairwell full of super balls.

I switched this year to FreeTaxUSA from Turbo tax. did them side by side to make sure I would get the same refund. It handled my home battery rebate, stocks, etc as well as turbo tax does for free.

I found it easier to use and I'm so glad to no longer have to give Intuit any money.

I'm starting to wonder/notice that ending a BS talking point with, "is common sense" is a tell that they can't justify what they are trying to convince people of.
