i doubt thereβs a serious plan in place to do this, but every day that goes by without truly fundamental reform brings us closer to possibilities like this, where ICE can serve as an all-purpose goon squad for the administration
04.02.2026 19:07 β π 645 π 31 π¬ 9 π 0little item for the Senate Dems to ponder: which of the reforms youβre currently floating is going to stop this?
04.02.2026 17:41 β π 2779 π 594 π¬ 67 π 18With the world's attention diverted elsewhere, Gazaβs casualty numbers have crept back up to pre-ceasefire levels.
Neither the Biden nor the Trump administration has been willing or able to enforce meaningful red lines, and Netanyahu keeps pushing. Frog in boiling water.
On the day it was announced 700 agents would leave the state, ICE has mobilized in a majority nonwhite town 3 and 1/2 hours away from Minneapolis, where we have less people power to respond.

Iβd like Amy to get ENDLESS calls from constituents about Whipple. (612) 727-5220
04.02.2026 19:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We need elected officials at Whipple daily. The reporting thatβs been done should warrant extreme concern from our leaders and they must USE THEIR POWER to end the detentions there.
04.02.2026 19:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Called Amyβs office. Talked to a staffer and said Iβd like the senator to visit Whipple to observe the conditions there and report on them. That Iβm disappointed she and other leaders have not been there since the judge struck down Noemβs restrictions. I was told she and Tina visited last week.
04.02.2026 19:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I canβt handle these statements and posts from our highest ranking and most senior elected MN officials. Acting like saying nice things about Minnesotans and admonishing the administration is the extent of their power.

04.02.2026 19:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Senator, ICE needs to be abolished, not merely removed from βourβ state.
And what of Aliyaβs testimony of conditions at Whipple? Have you visited? What are YOU doing to end those horrors?
I totally misread it π€¦ββοΈ So glad itβs good news.

01.02.2026 18:28 β π 26 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If information was widely available for free, as we see in moments like this in MN, the people build power and resources for themselves. Thatβs a threat to the class system. We need to use our imagination to envision a different way of doing things than βhow will companies make money?β
01.02.2026 18:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0At a national level, Jeff Bezos owns WaPo. He can afford to drop a paywall. And archives could definitely be public. Check out @sarahkendzior.bsky.socialβs posts and work.

01.02.2026 17:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A local paper did a huge write-up about an upcoming protest in a rural MN town. Canβt access the info because of the paywall. Canβt read anti-ICE letters to the editor. Paywalls keep us uninformed and keep us from building movements.

Who is this for?
We donβt grow coffee beans in MN. But we *do* grow a lot of soybeans. And farmers are ending their lives over the losses they experienced this past year.
You HAVE to do better.
My dislike of Amy goes way back, but Iβm new to rural MN and they think her policies have been good for them. Definitely going to have conversations at our table on Tuesday. I donβt like that Amy launched before caucus and is getting support by default as a result. Thanks for the chat. :)
01.02.2026 16:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh yeah, not a fan of Amy AT ALL. Going way back. Not getting my vote either. Just feeling discouraged by lack of options and Amy getting support by default out here. Thanks for engaging. Appreciate the insight.
01.02.2026 16:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
Thank you to everyone who demanded freedom for Liam. We wonβt stop until all children and families are home.
01.02.2026 15:49 β π 6641 π 1208 π¬ 185 π 85I talked with my rural DFL leader today. EMQ has no name recognition or rural policies (or at least ones ppl know about). Amy will win rural caucuses; they do not even want to find an alternative. We need options, but we also need to build some urban-rural coalitions going forward.
