I was just thinking about something similar the other day: there’s only one William the Conqueror. Lots of English, French, and Scottish kings and rulers who invaded, defeated, and killed lots of people. But it’s a heck of a reputation burnishing to have the appellation “the conqueror” attached.

This just meant the translation was done by the "I'll Stop the World and Melt with You" guys.

The media trots out the "deplorable" comment from a decade ago to castigate the left. Once a week now Trump implies that the military should destroy democrats, and it is just how things are.

That does not look real. The print is too clear for a picture.

Karen Whitsett gets along better with Matt Hall than leadership in her own party. That’s her defining feature, along with the fact she’s from Detroit and somehow still has a (relatively small) constituency among the apathetic voting base.

Planting the trees is great. I see lots of cities doing that.

What I often don’t see is cities spending the money to take care of them—watering, pruning, etc. I’d love to hear more stories about how that happens (e.g., budget; staffing)

Yep. Like I'll need evidence the army is "woke" in a way that has hurt their capacity to do the role our nation needs them to do.

Because all is see from Noonan et al. is too many black people and women (let alone transgender people) were in the army, and de facto, it underperformed.

It has some good points, but any column that multiple times asserts, without evidence, statements like “our defense structure can’t be the cultural left’s plaything. All of that got out of whack and carried away” can’t be considered very good by me.

Honestly, he’s got a ways to go. This is what he was doing during the bye week? A vacation? He’s not even trying hard. The arrogance is off the charts.

I don't know -- he is on CNBC like every other day, and his level of suck up & praise for Trump is literally at North Korea levels.

He may say some stuff that Trump doesn't like, but Trump gives a lot of rope for useful true believers.
