A huge group of people are in a giant hole in the middle of a rolling field. There is a large sign with an arrow pointing to the hole that says "HOLE." Suddenly the group's attention turns to a new hole, complete with a giant sign with an arrow pointing to it that says "NEW HOLE." One person points to the new hole and says "hey look! Someone made a new hole!" The mass clamours out of the old hole and makes a bee-line toward the new hole. It's chaos. One person, now situated in the new hole says "this feels like how the old hole used to feel." Another person nods in agreement.

Good news! I finally killed that fly that's been vexing me all day. Bad news! I took a sip of wine and thought I got a piece of cork in my mouth. I took the piece of cork out and discovered that it was a fly.

and now can barely walk and am in more pain than I’ve felt in a long time. I had a lot of things planned to do today, and none of it will get done. Hopefully I’ll be closer to normal tomorrow. Anyway, I hope you weren’t expecting anything from me today. It’s not happening.

After a 2.5 mi walk this morning, which featured only the normal amount of pain, I cleaned out a car and must have twisted myself in a funny way because my back started hurting in a way it hasn’t for a while. I tried to stretch it out, and only managed to make it worse…

It's a beautiful-to-look-at play: amazing choreography (especially for a non-musical), animal puppets were fantastic, the lighting was superb, and the set was excellent.

The story left me underwhelmed.

Wife suggested it would have been better as a ballet. I couldn't agree more.

Saw the touring company of the Life of Pi stage production yesterday. I've never read the book/watched the film. I had no idea what to expect, other than I knew the lead ends up on a boat with a tiger.

At the Elvis Costello Radio Soul tour show. Saw a guy wearing an EC “This Year’s Model” t-shirt. He was definitely not this years’s model. None of us here are.

This Is Spinal Tap holds up 40 years later, and was fun to see on the big screen for the first time.
