Six years ago, consistently polling around 2%. Now, above 10%.
Green councillors leapt from fewer than 200 to nearly 900.
Green MPs from one to four.
This is the beginning.

This approx 18 minutes interview is well worth watching. Zack Polanski gives such refreshingly honest answers. He doesn't dodge questions, he says what he thinks in an articulate and well informed way.
05.10.2025 10:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Zack Polanski will have something interesting to say and will push back against the home secretary.
05.10.2025 09:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is grim & dangerous over reach.
This is a government that have lost the moral argument & are still selling arms to Israel. Now further cracking down on dissent.
Absolutely the opposite of what they should be doing - so of course this is what the Labour Government choose.
At the 2022 Labour Party Conference, their members voted, overwhelmingly, in favour of Proportional Representation. The Labour Leadership ignored them.
The Green Party doesn't do that. If you want to join a political party & take part in shaping policy #JoinTheGreenParty today.

03.10.2025 09:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0While it may not be headline grabbing news, there was a small but significant by-election victory in Beccles, Suffolk today.
Reform UK put one of their candidates on the ballot for a seat on the non-political town council. All the other candidates were independent.

Agreed, however, if there is any abuse of the system it is comparatively very small numbers. So, I still don't understand why Starmer had to make a high profile statement about it except to appeal to the Reform supporters. My view is don't copy Farage. Oppose him totally - he has nothing to offer.
02.10.2025 10:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Nigel Farage & Alex Phillips have been awfully quiet about Nathan Gill pleading guilty to eight counts of bribery relating to pro-Russia statements made in European parliament and articles.
Just wanted to refresh their memories about how they were all a team through that period.
RIP Jane Goodall. The World needs more people like you.
02.10.2025 07:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Tory partyโs long journey away from science, reason, responsibility, common sense and truth is complete
02.10.2025 06:37 โ ๐ 1744 ๐ 581 ๐ฌ 173 ๐ 70My question on this topic is why Starmer even needed to say it. Asylum seekers using the ECHR is not a huge problem that requires a change in the law. This gives the impression he is trying to appeal to Reform supporters rather than the millions who would never give Farage et al the time of day.
02.10.2025 07:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Badenoch's bizarre statement is the end result of trying to outstrip Farage and Reform UK's bizarre & undeliverable sound bites - I'm reluctant to call them policies as that implies some thought & planning was involved.
02.10.2025 06:52 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have just heard Keir Starmer say he wants to take a look at article 3 of the European Convention of Human Rights & feels "there is an appetite for that."
If by "that" he means we are willing to deport people somewhere they may face torture or inhumane treatment - I say, emphatically, NO.

18.09.2025 19:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I said that migrants were being scapegoated for the problems we face as a country, when the real culprits were the previous Tory Govt & Brexit. We didn't agree on everything, but he did agree to take a look at the Green Party website & Zacks interviews & podcasts. That felt like a win. [2]
