This approx 18 minutes interview is well worth watching. Zack Polanski gives such refreshingly honest answers. He doesn't dodge questions, he says what he thinks in an articulate and well informed way.

Zack Polanski will have something interesting to say and will push back against the home secretary.

This is grim & dangerous over reach.

This is a government that have lost the moral argument & are still selling arms to Israel. Now further cracking down on dissent.

Absolutely the opposite of what they should be doing - so of course this is what the Labour Government choose.

At the 2022 Labour Party Conference, their members voted, overwhelmingly, in favour of Proportional Representation. The Labour Leadership ignored them.

While it may not be headline grabbing news, there was a small but significant by-election victory in Beccles, Suffolk today.
Reform UK put one of their candidates on the ballot for a seat on the non-political town council. All the other candidates were independent.

Agreed, however, if there is any abuse of the system it is comparatively very small numbers. So, I still don't understand why Starmer had to make a high profile statement about it except to appeal to the Reform supporters. My view is don't copy Farage. Oppose him totally - he has nothing to offer.

Nigel Farage & Alex Phillips have been awfully quiet about Nathan Gill pleading guilty to eight counts of bribery relating to pro-Russia statements made in European parliament and articles.

My question on this topic is why Starmer even needed to say it. Asylum seekers using the ECHR is not a huge problem that requires a change in the law. This gives the impression he is trying to appeal to Reform supporters rather than the millions who would never give Farage et al the time of day.

Badenoch's bizarre statement is the end result of trying to outstrip Farage and Reform UK's bizarre & undeliverable sound bites - I'm reluctant to call them policies as that implies some thought & planning was involved.

I have just heard Keir Starmer say he wants to take a look at article 3 of the European Convention of Human Rights & feels "there is an appetite for that."
If by "that" he means we are willing to deport people somewhere they may face torture or inhumane treatment - I say, emphatically, NO.
